Thanks to the ANA for this opportunity for nurses to tell Congress about the risks nurses take every day, denied proper equipment to safely transfer patients. Tell your story! America needs to know about all the nurses seriously injured for no reason except employers cutting corners to boost profits. America needs to know about nurses permanently disabled and discarded by their employers like so many worn-out machine parts. Nurses will no longer suffer this way only on the day we force all employers to do better. Will you help make it so, or will you live and work like so many of us still do, like sheep patiently waiting to be slaughtered?
Tell your story to America
I did. I’m a nurse. What nurses decide to get done, gets done. Let’s get this job done! What are you waiting for?
Politics is a strange world, and after reviewing many cases of discipline I would have to say that there is so many, many problems with nurse drug diversion that it makes us look bad in general. Of course this has nothing to do with the nepotistic arrangement between the ANA and the Board. However, when the general public sees better than 50% of disciplined cases are involved drug diversion its very hard to move the light onto the corrupted cases that many of us have been involved with.

It shows a clean profession and/or sloppy oversite, and a huge public health problem. It seems to me DEA etc focus on providers as a distraction from their total failure elsewhere. Even in health care, the numbers speak to total failure: substance abuse remains prevalent basically everywhere. After decades, I consider it proof of a completely flawed model. At this point the implicit plan is to accept failure, and for many people to earn lots of profits along the way. Thanks for your ideas – Greg

I contacted the ANA once, to tell them I had contacted the AZBN , and they do absolutely nothing for nurses. They referred me back to AZBN!! Then I found that the ex dir of the Arizona BON “joey” ridenour’s husband WILLIAM Ridenour is on the BOARD OF THE AZNA !
How many nursese are aware of their communication with the AZNA about the BON treatment , that the husband of the BON is reading what that nurse said about the BON. ?

There are far more conflicts of interest, including BON members also working for corporations submitting complaints.
