Adventure in Forgiveness

This topic is especially important for nurses, who tend to be perfectionists who take every little failing hard. Carrying around so much baggage risks it blocking your view of the present. If you can’t see what it’s frong of you now and give it your full attention, you can’t do your best work, risking more baggage, a spiral. Must deal with it!

Adventure in Forgiveness

Blessing for today ~ Adventure in Forgiveness ~

Life is an adventure in forgiveness. ~ Norman Cousins ~

Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Forgiveness frees us from the bondage of animosity, bitterness, enmity and resentment. We often feel that our emotions are held hostage by those who wrong us. The opposite is true. Liberty is in forgiving those who enter our lives with malicious and malevolent intent. Holding on to resentment is like gripping the lighted end of a burning torch. The longer we hold on, the greater the damage to ourselves. If we let go, we can begin to heal. The energetic frequency of resentment is like static in our brains. To fine tune to the channel of joy, peace and love, release the resentment.

What will you forgive today?

HERE is Forgiveness: Letting go of grudges and bitterness, from the Mayo Clinic.
