All of these factors have important roles to play, but to pretend there is no luck, no randomness, no legacy from the past is to lie to yourself.

To pretend there is no luck, no randomness, no past is also to lie to yourself.

Lies do not help. Generally, they make things worse, more messy, not better.

The truth?

The more we try, the better our attitude, the better our odds moving forward. Over time, better odds tend to offer better results. Don’t splat…. Win!
